Here at Higham we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hard-working teaching assistant to work 1:1 with 1 pupil on an individual basis throughout the school day as part of their support allocation.

This would be an EYFS position for the remainder of this academic year and then a Year 1 position for a fixed term until March 2023.  This post is linked to the needs of an individual pupils and therefore could be extended depending on the pupil’s needs and funding allocation.

The hours are 9:30-12:00 and 1:30-3:00 Mon to Fri each day, a total of 20 hours per week at Kent Range 4 contracted for 43 weeks per year including holiday. 

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher of the named pupil within and outside the classroom supporting the child on an individual basis to enable them to access their learning. They will also work well within an established team supporting and sharing strategies with colleagues.

The successful candidate will support the school SENCO in meeting the needs for this pupil.
