Valley Invicta Primary School at East Borough is looking to appoint an energetic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who has the ability to inspire, motivate and support our wonderful pupils.

This post is specifically for a Teaching Assistant to work with our Year 5 or 6 children. We are ideally looking for an experienced TA who can hit the ground running to support the children and the teacher. You will have experience in the classroom, with small groups and in supporting individual pupils. The ability to cover class for short periods of time would also be a great advantage.

The ideal candidate will be a well organised practitioner who is able to use their own initiative and also be able to work as part of a team. You will be flexible in your approach, completely reliable and always enthusiastic and positive. Empathy and an ability to establish good working relationships with staff and pupils are essential.

Necessary Experience:

  • Good standard of education with strong Literacy and Numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths essential)
  • Strong ICT skills
  • Knowledge and experience of good classroom practice
  • Be able to deliver a range of interventions or booster groups
  • Evidence of excellent communication and interpersonal skills
