An exciting opportunity has arisen to join St Augustine Academy as an Intensive Inclusion Support Advisor.

We are looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Intensive Inclusion Support Advisor, who will help develop a new inclusion provision within the Academy.

You will be based in our inclusion centre; the aim of the role is to develop and manage the Inclusion Centre for those pupils with complex behavioural needs across the Academy at risk of suspension ensuring these needs are effectively met, raising their aspirations, self-esteem and motivation levels so they can achieve their academic potential.

You will be expected to develop a series of programmes that students will follow in the Inclusion Centre for a 5 day period; which will incorporate small group intervention lessons led by subject specialists, and liaison with local colleges & other agencies to develop bespoke programmes of study to meet the needs of individual students.

You will need to make considerable use of effective communication and conciliatory skills including the use of restorative practices with pupils, staff and families. You will need to be experienced at managing difficult conversations, meetings and diffusing challenging behaviour. Applicants will need to integrate within our friendly Academy team as well as needing excellent communication skills to develop a good relationship with students and staff.

This is a new role which is initially on a one year fixed term contract until the end of the academic year 2023.

Pay Grade - WAT Band G, pts 20 - 25 £22,645 - £25,770 (Full time equivalent £26,446 - £30,095)
