Minterne Junior School is one of ten schools within Our Community Multi Academy Trust. We are a junior school with 365 of pupils on our roll. We have 3 classes per year group who work closely together to provide consistency for the pupils. We also have the Acorn Speech and Language Centre on site and the pupils who attend integrate into many of our activities and lessons.

Minterne Junior School is a very popular three form entry Junior School set on the outskirts of Sittingbourne. We nurture our pupils and provide them with strategies and knowledge to become independent learners and well-rounded members of society.

We are seeking to appoint a full-time, inspirational teacher to join our friendly Key stage Two team who can

  • demonstrate outstanding classroom practice
  • are imaginative and enthusiastic, with an eagerness to bring learning alive
  • have high expectations of pupil behaviour and work, with a commitment to raising standards
  • possess excellent organisational skills, be able to work as part of a team with a positive and flexible outlook
  • have a capacity and interest to grow and develop professionally
  • are open to challenges and change when new initiatives need to be considered
