Advert

The famous saying goes 'never work with animals and children'. Well we believe that doing this gives you the best of both worlds. We have created simply the best job an animal lover could want.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and commited person to join our farm team. The right candidate must be passionate about animals and education and have experience of working with primary aged pupils in school; this is essential!

Seal Community Farm was developed in summer 2020 with the help of staff, parents and local community after being awarded grants from various organisations.

The farm now offers farm education to all the pupils within the Inspire Federation and we are looking for a confident and passionate individual to deliver these lessons.

In addition to the farm education, the successful candidate will be running tours during open days (some weekend commitment), educational talks to other schools and small group visits to the farm.

Open days start in April and end in October. These hours will be paid as overtime in addition to your contracted hours.

The job involves a lot of public speaking, therefore we are looking for someone that is used to teaching children and addressing the public.

An important attribute we are looking for is flexibility and being a great team member. Working on the farm is a huge commitment and the animals need care every single day, including school holidays. We will expect the successful candidate to help cover absence and holidays as part of our committed team.

This really is a great opportunity for anyone with a love of animals, the great outdoors and of course, working with children. We have an amazing team working on our farm and simply the best animals that have been nurtured to allow human interaction.
