Northfleet School for Girls is a vibrant and caring school which is on a very exciting journey. Over recent years we have been growing rapidly (46% increase in student roll since 2017).

Learning Support Assistant - Maternity Cover

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to cover a period of maternity leave starting from the last term of this academic year for up to a year.

The post is for 28 hours per week (4 days) and term time only (39 weeks per year). The working pattern is 08:30 - 16:15 on Monday and Thursday and 08:30 - 15:15 on a Friday plus one other week day which is negotiable with the successful candidate.

Responsibilities will include supporting the needs of identified students and other groups who need support to overcome barriers in learning both inside and outside of the school. The post holder will work under the guidance of our LSA Leader and be part of a team of support for students with specific needs and who require adaptations to allow full engagement with education.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working with ASD students or a willingness to train in this area.
