Catering Manager - 30 hours Term Time only

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Catering Manager to join our team. Your role will be to lead and manage our kitchen team, to plan and prepare a range of inspirational healthy menus to meet our children’s dietary needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Craft skills e.g. GNVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and cooking or equivalent
Level 3 Supervising Food Safety
Level 2 Allergen Management
Level 2 Health & Safety is desirable
Budgetary, menu planning, and ordering skills are essential

We are looking for an individual who can:

Lead a team of a total of 5 staff members
Work Monday to Friday, working 30 hours per week
Create, prepare and plan a range of inspirational menus to meet the dietary needs of our children
Ensure the team have up-to-date knowledge and understanding of their roles
Use their Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate within their practice
Ensure they keep the kitchen area clean, appropriately presented and it is appropriately stocked at all times
Ensure that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures
Ensure all complaint handling is dealt with professionally and in line with procedures
Be responsible for smooth operation of relevant equipment reporting any maintenance issues in line with procedures
Be passionate about school catering and positively communicate with all children and staff
Express a willingness to learn and develop
