Are you a musically trained teacher with an interest in working in a Special School? Do you want to teach in a welcoming, joyful school community, with a supportive network of expert colleagues? Do you share our passion and determination to unlock the potential in every pupil?
Then we have the ideal teaching role for you!

We are looking a motivated and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join our highly skilled team, making a difference to our pupils with profound, severe and complex needs in our Lower School and Secondary Department.
Experience of working in a special needs setting and teaching pupils with ASD as well as learning difficulties is desirable, but not essential. If you work in a mainstream setting and are curious about Special Needs Schools, you are welcome to visit us to find out more.

At Meadowfield we work hard to ensure that all of our pupils make excellent progress, and we continually seek to improve the wellbeing of both pupils and staff. Now is an exciting time to join our Outstanding school as we expand to better meet the demand for special school places in Swale. We are incredibly proud our recent Ofsted inspection. Ofsted recognise that relationships between our staff and pupils are exceptionally positive, and we are delighted that our pupils told inspectors they are very happy at the school and really enjoy their lessons.
We encourage all of our employees to further their career development and we respect initiative and ambition. We are committed to performance management, staff training, coaching, mentoring and peer support.
If you are appointed to a teaching role with us, we guarantee that you will be well supported. You will receive a structured process of induction and will benefit from the collective support of a highly experienced network of colleagues.

From all staff we expect commitment to the school and a desire to improve and excel. Further information about the responsibilities of the role can be found in the attached job description.

Meadowfield School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils. This post is subject to references, a medical check and an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Please apply online for this vacancy via www.kent-teach.com, by clicking the 'Apply' button at the top or the bottom of the page. C.V.s will not be considered.

Visits to the school are encouraged, to arrange an appointment, or for more information, please contact our HR Team via email at hr@meadowfield.kent.sch.uk or phone 01795 477788 (option 3).

Due to the conditions and complex needs of the pupils at Meadowfield School, continuity and consistency of support is paramount and therefore candidates for all positions will need to commit to the full working hours of the post.
