Due to expansion, we are currently recruiting an additional Behaviour Management Lead within the company's own SEMH school Parkview Academy.

Location: Margate

Salary Range: £20,000-£24,995 Dependent on qualifications and experience

Permanent - Full Time (40 hours per week)

Hours: Monday to Friday- 08:00 to 16:00

Purpose of Job:

  • To have and apply detailed skills and knowledge to ensure a consistent and effective approach to behaviour management across the school
  • To implement and monitor behaviour management strategies
  • To develop and deliver a range of preventative approaches to behaviour management
  • To support all staff in addressing the behavioural, emotional and social needs of all pupils, but especially those pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning
  • To establish and maintain productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and mentor – to model positive behaviour to the young people
  • To adopt a multi-agency approach to supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional and social needs
  • To monitor and analyse behaviour patterns across the school
  • To meet the educational and social needs of a range of students, across a range of special needs including learning disabilities and challenging behaviour
  • To act as one of the school’s deputy designated safeguarding leads

Responsibilities and Duties

  • To provide support with behaviour management when instructed by management.
  • To provide support for the Teachers, Pupils and School.
  • Undertake additional duties and responsibilities commensurate to the role, as directed by the Head Teacher.

An enhanced DBS check will be undertaken as part of our safer recruitment policy.

Qualifications and Skills

Suitable candidates will need to have experience of working with challenging behaviour and hold (or be working towards) a suitable teaching support qualification (Level 2/3). Whilst experience is highly valued we are also keen to interview staff with limited experience but with good aptitude. We welcome applications from candidates who have experience in residential care for children and young people.
