Anthony Roper is situated in the heart of the village of Eynsford. The school serves 315 girls and boys aged 4 to 11 from the villages of Eynsford, Farningham and neighbouring localities and is a popular choice among parents. The school is a one and a half form entry taking in 45 pupils each new academic year.

The Anthony Roper School has a long history and presence in the village, the current school site opened in 1973 as The Anthony Roper School having been created to replace the former Eynsford County Primary School established in 1905 and the Farningham Church of England Primary School established in 1873.

The Anthony Roper School is fortunate to have a range of excellent facilities; it is set in impressive grounds which afford the school a number of sporting opportunities. This enables the pupils to reach the standard to participate in county wide events with ongoing success.

In recent years the woodland area at the front of the school has been developed in to a forest school type environment which is regularly by all pupils in the school. The school has a dedicated library, ICT suite, music practice rooms, nurture group room and spacious school hall.

The Anthony Roper school has a very dedicated and passionate teaching team providing a first-class education for the pupils in their care. This includes offering a range of after school clubs in a number of different subjects, including art, football, netball, multi-sports and gardening.

The Anthony Roper School offers parents a breakfast and after school club.  These are Ofsted registered and are run by an external provider, working closely in partnership with the school.

The school maximises the opportunities of the local community – Eynsford Castle, the historic ford, Lullingstone Roman Villa, Lullingstone World Gardens, the local riverside, etc. and given the long history of the school and its close links with the parish churches this partnership remains as strong as it has always been. The pupils and staff attend the churches in both Eynsford and Farningham for special occasions in the Christian calendar.

The school is ambitious for all of its pupils and is looking to welcome a new Head Teacher who can bring a clear vision to lead the school forward, creating the right balance of maintaining tradition while embracing innovation. This is a rare and special opportunity for the right leader to make a difference to the future of the pupils at The Anthony Roper Primary School.
