Ashford St Mary’s Church of England School has strong Christian values of respect, friendship, perseverance, forgiveness, compassion and trust which are at the heart of everything that we do. In our latest SIAMS Report we were described as "having a set of Christian values which has transformed the life of its community. These values of perseverance, compassion, respect, forgiveness, trust and friendship were chosen in consultation with all stakeholders. They have replaced school rules and pupils use them effectively to regulate their everyday lives". 

The school has close links with St Mary’s Church, the children benefit from visiting the church for services throughout the year and from the clergy leading assemblies at school. The school also has very strong links with The Diocese of Canterbury.

We have a spacious and attractive site where things come in twos, just like Noah’s ark – two classes per year group, two halls, two libraries, two playgrounds. Each of our year groups also has a shared space which provides an additional area for small group or individual interventions.  

Our staff are a dedicated and hardworking team who work well together to achieve a common goal. Although our team of staff are committed to ensuring our children receive the best education possible, they believe in having fun together too; dressing up days, such as Book Week, are never a dull day in our staff room!  

We value all pupils and there are regular opportunities for pupil voice to be shared and heard. At St Mary’s we have a range of different faiths represented within our community; we value this diversity and experiences of everyone.
