About The School

Please read a letter from the Chair of Governors and a letter from the Director of Education, for the Diocese of Canterbury, Niki Paterson.

A light and airy one form entry school, it is situated in the centre of the historic village of Lyminge.

As a Church of England Controlled School the Christian values of Forgiveness, Trust, Justice and Perseverance permeate the whole school ethos.

At Lyminge School we are all committed to our motto “Inspiring a passion for learning”. We firmly believe that the development of excellent learning skills, from an early age, opens up limitless possibilities throughout life.
Outcomes in National Statutory Key Stage Assessments are well above the national averages in all areas.

We aim to inspire every child to adopt a healthy lifestyle, to appreciate the wider environment and to take up a sport or activity that they will continue to enjoy in later life. Over the past 5 years the school has enjoyed great success in many sports competitions including reaching many county finals in gymnastics and tri- golf and winning District Sports for 4 consecutive years!

Drama, music and outdoor learning are high on our agenda for further development.
