Are you a leader who can build on our outstanding features at Lyminge Church of England Primary School? 

Due to the retirement of our headteacher we are seeking to appoint an inspirational leader who will continue to maintain and build on the school’s current success. Our recent Ofsted inspection has been judged as ‘Good’ with outstanding features.   

Pupils’ personal development, behaviour and welfare are Outstanding – Ofsted July 2018 

The current headteacher has brought about considerable improvement since 2017 and has successfully reversed the school’s decline. We are looking for a passionate leader with drive and energy who will work closely with our staff, governors and parents.

At Lyminge Church of England Primary school we inspire a passion for learning for pupils aged 4 to 11. The children of Lyminge Church of England Primary School are its ambassadors. They are enthusiastic, independent thinkers with a passion for learning. There are currently 193 pupils on roll. We are proud of our pupils who understand and live by the school’s Christian values, demonstrating kindness and trust in their behaviour towards others. 

Our governors are knowledgeable, skilled and fulfil their responsibilities very well. They are committed to supporting the Headteacher and the whole school community ensuring that the vision of the school is fulfilled. Our vibrant staff team is dedicated to constantly improving the performance of the school.

We are committed to appointing a headteacher who has:

  • Excellent leadership, management, communication and personal skills.
  • Is able to inspire staff, pupils, parents and the local community, developing engagement with school vision, values and goals which impact on the school improvement.
  • Has teaching experience of working in more than one school and more than one Key Stage.
