Greatstone Primary School is a Foundation School with twelve classes and approximately 360 children. We also have a 52 place Nursery on site. We are a well-maintained rural school set in large open grounds on the Romney Marsh, close to the sandy beaches of the south east coast and the unique landscape and nature reserve at Dungeness. The school has good access by road and is just 30 minutes’ drive from Ashford or 30 minutes from Folkestone. There is also a bus service from Folkestone, Hythe and Dymchurch.

The School and Nursery have a very good reputation within the local area and is renowned for the excellent behaviour of its children and the high expectations of its staff. We have a reputation for delivering a high standard of education in a friendly, happy and supportive environment. The school was rated Good in its last OFSTED inspection, carried out during February 2017.

Greatstone Primary School is a place where all can grow, achieve and aspire within a safe and caring atmosphere of teamwork, support and co-operation. It is our aim to provide a high-quality learning environment where children love learning, seek challenges, value effort and persist in the face of difficulty. Everything we do is underpinned by our values: Trust; Respect; Aspiration; Courage; and Kindness.
