About the School

Please read a letter from the Chair of Governors and a letter from the Director of Education.

Sholden Church of England Primary School is a small, church primary school located on the outskirts of Deal. We are a small church school with 4 classes and wonderful, hardworking and well behaved pupils along with a dedicated team of professionals to lead them.

In April 2019 Sholden became a founding Academy member of the Deal Education Alliance for Learning Trust (DEALT) which is a recently formed MAT of seven local primary schools within Deal and the surrounding villages.

This unique and exciting collaboration of local schools is working together to ensure the very best outcomes for all pupils and their families within our town.

Whilst This headteacher post will be at Sholden, your contract will be with DEALT.

Our school is a vibrant place with passionate and committed staff determined to ensure that all children fulfil their potential. At Sholden, the children come first, each child is truly unique and we aim to develop all so they become rounded individuals and are well prepared for their future lives.

The school includes children of all abilities and aptitudes and provides an exciting and varied curriculum which caters for the academic, musical, artistic, creative, sporting and spiritual needs of our pupils. There are extra special relationships between our children, their families and the school community and we believe these are key to a successful educational partnership.

Sholden School also has close links with many local groups, clubs, and churches including St Leonard's Church and St Nicholas Church. All work closely with the school to help with the education of our children. We work very closely with the local churches and regularly visit them for services or learning opportunities.

Our Vision:

Our Vision is to provide an inspirational educational experience to encourage lifelong learning and fulfil all of our pupils’ unique God given potential.

Our Christian Values:

We have 5 distinct Christian values which we feel passionately about and which we feel are key to making the school what it is. These values have been developed by all members of the school community and are:

Kindness

Forgiveness

Peace

Courage

Love
