Downsview School is located in a quiet private road overlooking green fields, within the heart of Swanley.  The School is lucky enough to have plenty of green outside space with opportunities to maximise the impact of this area. 

Swanley is a town within the District of Sevenoaks with the best of both excellent transport links and access to rural space and the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the doorstep.  The train station is a 15-20 minute walk from Downsview School and is within the Oyster London Travel Zone, travel to London takes approximately 30 minutes with access to both Victoria and Thameslink services as well as services into Kent, the Medway towns and coastal areas.  Buses connect the area to Dartford, Bluewater, Orpington and Eltham.   Downsview School is just 5 minutes from the M25 with Dartford and Bluewater being 15 minutes away and the M20 providing access into Kent, with the A20 linking to London easily.   

Swanley is just a few minutes from the Darent Valley, which offers traditional rural villages with good pubs, tourism attractions and access to an extensive range of walks and cycle paths with picturesque countryside, including lavender fields and a vineyard and a roman villa.  Sevenoaks is accessible within 20 minutes and offers a wide range of Historic properties, beautiful gardens to explore as well as a variety of independent retailers and a wealth of restaurants and coffee shops.  

Swanley itself is set to receive a large amount of regeneration over the coming years with the possibility of a large renovation of the existing shopping area and an increased provision of housing.  Making the role of Downsview important to support the existing and growing populations in the local community.
