Local Area

Smeeth Community Primary School is situated in the attractive village of Smeeth, just 5 miles east of the thriving town of Ashford, and serves the village as well as the neighbouring area of Brabourne Lees. The village boasts a thriving community of residents and small businesses, which support 3 pubs, 2 schools, recreation ground, village hall, active churches, many community events, outstanding nursery and active playgroup plus a local shop with Post Office.

The beautiful 190 acre woodlands and deer park at Hatch Park are located less than a mile from Smeeth, and we regularly use this space for school learning adventures.

The North Downs, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, can be easily reached, and the coast at Hythe is a mere 7 miles away, providing plenty of fresh air and space for you to explore. Several walking routes surround the village through stunning landscapes and the school boasts excellent views across the countryside.

The school is located just off the A20 which runs parallel to the M20, providing easy access to the rest of the county. You can reach London in 38 minutes by train, Canterbury is half an hour by car and the Port of Dover and access to Europe is a mere 20 minutes away.
