Small School, Big Dreams! A great place to learn, grow and succeed.

“Smeeth is a happy, friendly school with a family atmosphere and a hardworking school community.” Ofsted, November 2014

As a thriving, fully-subscribed village school, we take pride in cultivating our “Smeeth” ethos in which everyone works together to ensure a warm, inclusive and friendly environment.

You would inherit an energetic and hardworking school, in which talented and committed staff and governors are passionate about enabling our children to achieve and become confident, independent thinkers. Our parents praise the opportunities, culture and teaching at the school and the Parents & Friends of Smeeth is an active and committed group.

Recent investment in classroom resources, outdoor facilities, and a strong staff team underpin this opportunity to take this school to the next level.

Smeeth School sits within the CARE Foundation Trust, a recently-formed family of 10 local primary schools. This Cooperative Education Foundation Trust provides a formal network to develop outstanding teaching, shared expertise and practical advice and support. All schools in the Foundation Trust have a long and productive history of working together on an equal basis; it is not a MAT.

Whilst we are proud of our established position at the heart of the village, we recognise there is still more to do and you can make a real difference for our children. We would love to hear from candidates who want to work with us to take our school forward. For candidates from beyond Kent, we would be willing to discuss a relocation package.

As you can see from our video, our children are socially-confident, enjoy learning and are eager to welcome you. Visitors to our school often remark on our friendly, well behaved children and the positive atmosphere; we encourage you to come to Smeeth and see for yourself.

Our School and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
