Ramsgate Holy Trinity CEP School

Local Area

Ramsgate Holy Trinity Primary School is located between the historic seaside towns of Ramsgate & Broadstairs in the Thanet district of East Kent. The school is a short walk from the beautiful Dumpton Gap beach which can be seen aside.

There are strong road links in the area where you can quickly access the A299 and A28 roads directing you towards the centre of the county where you can then pick up the main motorways (M2 and M20) to explore the rest of Kent. Rail links are also convenient being just 5 minutes’ drive to Ramsgate Railway Station and with High Speed links to London and Paris.

Broadstairs is described as full of “nostalgic, old world, seaside charm” and was Charles Dicken’s favourite holiday spot. The town is full of cafes, restaurants and independent shops but is also home to numerous museums and historical houses. Many cultural events take place in the towns including the Dickens Festival, Water Gala and Folk Week which are proudly celebrated by the local community.

The Thanet district boasts no fewer than 18 beaches with 7 of these awarded the prestigious Blue Flag Award. The towns of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate have the longest continuous stretch of coastal chalk in Britain. There are a number of coastal walks to discover, one of which being the Ramsgate to Margate Beach Roamer allowing you to absorb the best of the Isle of Thanet’s coastal line.
