Ramsgate Holy Trinity CEP School

About the School

Please read a letter from the Chair of Governors and a letter from the Director of Education

Ramsgate Holy Trinity School is a one form entry primary school with 210 pupils on roll, organised into seven classes. The accommodation is a modern building, situated overlooking the beautiful sea on the edge of Broadstairs.

The school’s history dates back to 1858 and was on the same site in Ramsgate for over 120 years before moving to its current site in 1990.

Holy Trinity forms part of the Broadstairs & Ramsgate Ethos in Schools Committee [BRESIC], a collaboration of three primary and two secondary schools, within the Diocese of Canterbury. BRESIC promotes the raising of standards and enables Holy Trinity to work with other schools to improve professional practice and develop links within the community.

Pupil turnout is high at the school with average attendance of 97%. The school has an active Parent, Friend & Teacher Association who organise regular fund raising events to enhance the pupil’s learning experience in and out of school. Annual separate Sports Days and Christmas productions for each Key Stage are held as well as a popular Key Stage 2 Summer Production in Term 6.

The children also enjoy a range of After School Clubs including Recorder, External Football Coaching and Netball.

We are proud of the children’s learning achievement with 87% of pupils achieving the expected standard attainment across Reading Writing and Mathematics, for Key Stage 2 SATs results. Additionally, 70% of pupils achieved a Kent Test pass in 2016.

Holy Trinity Church in Ramsgate is just down the road where we have strong links with the incumbent Rector serving on the Governing Body and supports the Christian character of the school and helps to deliver collective Worship and RE..

The school boasts a wonderful family vibe which makes it such an enjoyable place to visit and work. We welcome prospective candidates to visit the school and look forward to showing you around.
