New Line Learning Academy is located on the outskirts of Maidstone in the heart of Kent.  The county town of Maidstone is only 10 minutes away by car and contains two large shopping areas, restaurants, banks, supermarkets and a cinema.  The town also has a vibrant night life.  London can be reached from Maidstone by direct rail link and is only an hour away.  Ashford International station is only half an hour away and trains to the continent depart from there regularly.

The surrounding area contains a number of unmissable attractions.  For those who like outdoor activities, Kent offers a range of country parks that epitomise the county’s spectacular countryside.  Nearby Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest offers walking, cycling and horse riding through its charming woodland.  To the north lies the North Downs Way, a hiking trail which runs through the North Downs, a hilly ridge that stretches from Farnham in Surrey to Canterbury and boasts some breathtaking views of Kent.

The area also contains some important historical sites.  The town of Canterbury is home to Canterbury Cathedral, one of the finest cathedrals in England.  There are also a number of beautiful castles in the area, including Hever Castle, the former home of Henry VII’s second wife Anne Boleyn, Leeds Castle, which contains a maze and a beautiful, well maintained garden and grounds, and Bodiam Castle, a well preserved medieval castle with a mote and drawbridge.
