This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring leader who embraces challenge as well as constantly striving to improve performance while inspiring and guiding others to achieve more.

Eastling Primary school is a rural half form entry school assessed by Ofsted as “Good” as recently as September 2016. As a village school, we benefit from excellent relationships and strong bonds within the school and wider village community.

As Headteacher you will have a governing body who are there to support you and your career progression. You are not expected to have yet mastered every skill, but to have the right values, attitudes, and skills to grow into an outstanding head teacher.

Your passion, integrity, and compassion will help develop an inclusive school ethos ensuring that the children are at the heart of the school. We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic, forward-thinking leader with the ambition to take our school to the next stage of its success.

Eastling Primary benefits from excellent relationships and teamwork, the school has a strong support system, with dedicated and enthusiastic staff members who continue to work hard to ensure that all children have access to the best learning environment possible.

Our rural location and pleasant school grounds within the beautiful surroundings of an AONB; a hidden Gem on the Kent Downs, make for a lovely work environment and the friendly, inclusive nature of the children enhances this. We want to make our school exceptional for all our children and hope you will share our passion to be the best we can be.

Our children are looking for a Headteacher who:

“Gives us responsibilities (like School Council) and listens to our ideas.”
“We respect and respects us.”
“Is kind but also firm.”
“Is approachable and makes time for us.”

School visits are welcome, to arrange please contact the school office on tina.leary@eastling.kent.sch.uk. Come and visit us and see for yourself.
