Wilmington Primary School is a one form entry, Independent Academy school for 4-11 year olds.  It has a 210 pupil capacity, in the heart of the village.

Our school, with its up to-date ICT suite, creative room, and music room, also has wonderful grounds providing a unique wide and open space for our children to flourish.  The large playing field provides a sports and recreational area for the children, hosts the PA events and occasional district sports meetings.

Our motto is ‘sharing and caring as we learn together’.  We aim to provide education in a caring and interesting environment, that will motivate all children to maximise their learning opportunities.  One of our key intentions is for each pupil to leave the school with an understanding of British values, encompassing self-confidence, self-discipline, responsibility and empathy.

Guided by our school values, displayed on our school website, we strive to unlock the potential in each child and to build a foundation for their secondary education and adult life.

Extra-curricular activities during and after school include Breakfast Club, after school clubs and music lessons.  A variety of sports activities also take place, along with PA events, which combine to enhance the school community.

The core subjects are supplemented with MFL, including Chinese and Japanese, music, art and physical education.

Our active school council regularly meet and have been an integral part in many projects including the equipping of our play areas and ‘Olympic park.
