Brabourne CEP School

Vacancy

Employment type: Full-time
Salary: £47,000 - £52,000 (dependent on experience)
Close date: 14th November 2016 at midday
Date of Interviews: 28th & 29th November 2016
Position start date: April 2017

No two days are the same in this happy little school. We are looking for a new Headteacher who will throw themselves into our community with enthusiasm – leading and supporting a close-knit team of teaching and support staff.

You will need to be a master of all trades – moving rapidly from dealing with wildlife invading the playground to hosting collaboration meetings with other local schools, switching from in-depth analysis of the budget to demonstrating your dance moves at the PTA disco and, most of all, making sure you know and understand each and every pupil.

Whilst we have a great academic track record, Brabourne CEP school’s priority is far wider. We want our pupils to build confidence, creativity, and initiative. As a Church of England school, pupils learn the importance of strong values based on Christian ethos and develop these within school, and in their home lives. We maintain a broad curriculum with all pupils given plenty of opportunities to explore sport, music, art and drama as well as exploiting our rural position to fit in lots of outdoor learning.

We need a Headteacher who will continue to juggle all of this – steering a course that maintains high academic results because pupils are motivated, confident and enthusiastic learners. You will be the face of the school within the local community and your ability to build relationships and support others, within the school, community and across our collaborations with other schools will be key.

If you would like to visit the school to learn more, please contact the school office on 01303 813276. Visits are possible at any point in term time - we will arrange a time to suit you - and you will have the opportunity to speak with both the current head and the chair of governors.

Our School and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
