Laleham Gap School is the counties specialist provision for high functioning pupils aged 4-16 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and/or Speech and Language disorders. All pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Needs and there is an expectation that they will achieve a full range of GCSEs at age 16.

Laleham Gap is a highly successful special school and our staff play a huge role in that success. They provide excellent support for the pupils in order to ensure that they progress well and are fully prepared for the future that awaits them.  This dedication was noted in our latest Ofsted which recognised the achievements of the school so far.

We are proud of our school but know there is still plenty we can do to develop and improve.  The move into our new building has been a very exciting time, bringing us all closer together and allowing for smoother transitions across the phases. 

Day teaching services are provided by our primary school and our secondary offers both day and residential places.  We have plenty of ICT resources that teachers use to support students learning and this is often adapted to meet their varied needs.  We encourage the children to take part in the wide range of extracurricular activities that Laleham Gap offers as this first-hand experience can be vital for their overall learning.
