Thank you for your interest in the post of Headteacher at Laleham Gap School.

Laleham Gap is a successful SEN school, which enjoys a reputation for academic rigour, the setting of ambitious standards for all pupils and an ethos that is committed to our children becoming less reliant on adults as they progress.

The school has 189 children across primary and secondary, who are celebrating unprecedented levels of progress this academic year and our residential provision has just received its second ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted report.

We feel prepared for our imminent ‘full’ inspection, with robust data and high standards of teaching, learning and assessment evident across all of our provision.

Overall, the school regards its current provision as ‘Good’ and this is reflected in its self-evaluation and detailed school improvement plan; however we are looking for a candidate who will build on our robust accomplishments to date and drive the School to be ‘Outstanding’ in all areas and recognised as such by Ofsted.

The school is housed in a purpose-built new build, which provides modern accommodation near attractive local facilities. It has a welcoming and professional staff team, which is led by a strong senior team.

East Kent is an expanding location with good facilities and excellent road and rail connections.
