Local Area

The School is situated in Laddingford, a delightful hamlet close to the village Yalding and is located 40 miles southeast of London. The hamlet is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, living up to Kent’s iconic label as The Garden of England. 

Close to Laddingford is the lively county town Maidstone, ranked one of the top five popular shopping destinations in the South East. Maidstone has an excellent array of shops including two main shopping centres, Fremlin Walk and The Mall.

There are plenty of activities to pursue in the town from a visit to the cinema or theatre to a day at the award-winning Maidstone Museum and Bentlif Art Gallery.  

If you enjoy a spot of exercise, Yalding-Nettlestead Walk is a 6 mile stroll from Yalding past Royden Hall and on to the village Nettlestead, offering beautiful and peaceful countryside along the way. Further afield is Medway Valley walk, an excellent long distance footpath along the River Medway, which is often used for many water sports including rowing. 

There’s certainly plenty to see and do in Laddingford and the surrounding areas!
