We proudly opened our doors to children for the very first time on Thursday 4 September 2008, offering children from the age of 3 to 11 years old the opportunity to learn in a fantastic new environment with cutting edge equipment and facilities with the intention of making learning fun. Since then we have established ‘Ashford International’ our SRP for ASD children which is undergoing significant further expansion at the moment. A Forest school has been developed and is well resourced with the most recent addition being Little Acorns Farm. From Term 4 this year we are having 2 year olds in our maintained nursery school.
Our aim is to provide a happy, caring and quality learning environment. We recognise that parents play an important part in their child’s education. Supporting the needs of our families is something we take very seriously, so we are happy to provide wrap around childcare and extra-curricular clubs.

We believe that children’s self-esteem is the most significant consideration in a child’s education. We encourage and support our children to believe in themselves which contributes strongly to their successes and achievements. Our school philosophy is to look forward and not back.

We see ourselves as an important part of the south Ashford community and we ensure that, as a school, we embrace change and evaluate our performance on a regular basis. We are proud to be a UN gold standard Rights Respecting school and to be part of the central Ashford town schools (CATS) collaboration and to be one of the first primary schools to gain the Headstart Kitemark. As well as these great community schemes, we also provide facilities for letting to support local community groups.

Our addition of Little Acorns Farm have seen children welcome our Pygmy Goats, Betsy and Blossom, who were the first residents of Little Acorns Farm - they joined us in October 2025. Our reception classes will have incubators in the spring to hatch their own eggs. Once these chicks are ready, they will be housed in our chicken coop up in the farm. The farm will bring great opportunities for our pupils and will help them develop skills and experiences they would not otherwise not have access to.
