Fawkhan CE Primary School is a smaller than average school in the village of Fawkham, situated between the A2 and A20. We range between 100 and 105 pupils on roll, taught within 4 mixed age classes. We believe that our mixed-age classes are a benefit for our school, enabling our staff to really get to know the pupils and give them a personalised learning experience.
As a small school, we have a strong community with our pupils, staff, governors and parents, affectionately known as our ‘Fawkham Family’. Many of our older pupils take great pride in caring for our new pupils. We believe in recognising each child as unique, with different abilities, gifts and talents. Our staff are caring, dedicated, enthusiastic and committed to giving each child the best education.
Our aim for all our children at Fawkham is to ensure they will:
- Have a sense of responsibility, belonging and achievement.
- Have respect for themselves and others in our diverse community as well as the environment.
- Have the confidence to work independently and collaboratively, and to embrace new challenges.
- Feel safe, healthy, cared for and ready to learn.
- Have a voice and a chance to be heard.
We believe that Fawkham CE Primary School is more than just a place to learn, it is a caring, values-driven community where children are encouraged to explore, grow and flourish – and become confident, respectful, compassionate citizens of the future.
