The Governors of Fawkham CE Primary School wish to appoint an inspirational Headteacher to lead our school as we enter the next chapter in our journey.

Fawkham CE Primary School is a warm, welcoming village school located in Fawkham, Kent, where we pride ourselves on being a caring and inclusive community, “The Fawkham Family.” Our Christian values underpin everything we do, nurturing a safe environment where children are supported, valued and given the opportunity to flourish.

We are seeking an inspirational and visionary Headteacher to lead our school into the next chapter. Whether you are an existing head or looking for a step up into headship, we welcome applications from educators passionate about creating a nurturing, values-driven school community and working closely with others within our small staff body to achieve success.

The successful candidate will build on our rich tradition, embracing our Christian ethos while driving high-quality teaching, fostering pupils’ personal development, and ensuring every child can reach their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a small but supportive group of dedicated colleagues to shape the educational experience and journey of our pupils.

We are looking for a Headteacher who will:

  • Understand and embrace our Christian vision and values, helping us build on our identity as the Fawkham Family.
  • Provide strong, thoughtful and kind leadership to inspire and empower staff, pupils and the wider community.
  • Develop and nurture a vibrant, high-quality learning environment and curriculum that motivates every child to reach their full potential.
  • Promote a culture of care, respect, inclusion, and mutual support among children, staff, families and governors.
  • Work collaboratively with governors, staff and parents to shape and guide the future development of the school.

What we can offer you:

  • A friendly, close-knit school community where children and staff really know and support each other.
  • Pupils who are proud of their school, behave well and embrace opportunities to learn, grow and contribute positively to school life.
  • A dedicated and supportive staff team, governors and parents who are all committed to working together to enable the school to flourish.
  • The opportunity to lead a school with a clear Christian vision and strong values, helping shape its future for the benefit of all.

If you are a dedicated, values-driven leader with a passion for primary education, who is committed to nurturing a caring, inclusive school community, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Visits to the school are welcomed and these can be arranged through prior appointment on 8th and 14th January 2026.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our students.
