We are a one-form entry Church of England Voluntary Aided primary school located within walking distance of Borough Green train station, and within very close proximity to the M26 / M25 and M20. Our Christian values of "Care, Learn and Forgive" are central to all that we do. The school currently has 158 pupils who are kind, motivated, and enthusiastic learners who take pride in their school.
The school was rebuilt on a dedicated site five years ago, and we now have a wonderful learning environment that meets the needs of all children. It is bright and airy and enjoys a communal library space, design and technology room, and several spaces for smaller groups. There are also good facilities for staff. Our large outside space has been developed to provide a separate learning environment for Reception and Year 1, a forest school area and an adventure trail, as well as green fields and a multi-use games area. There is also room on the school site to build a nursery, and this is currently in the early planning stage.
Wrap around care is offered in school by JAG (Junior Adventure Group), the UK’s leading provider of before and after school programmes.
Our staff are committed to providing the best education for all the children within a safe, caring environment. Expectations of behaviour are high, and the school has a calm and warm atmosphere in which children can learn. We use a house system to engender a sense of responsibility, belonging, and achievement. School leaders and house captains are elected, as is an Eco Council, and they all meet regularly, which gives pupil voices a chance to be heard. Music is highly valued, and children have opportunities to learn a variety of instruments, play in the orchestra, or join the choir.
Our relationship with our families is important to us and our school is well supported by the local community and through the proactive PTA. The strong partnership with St Mary’s Church, its clergy and daily School Worship have helped to develop the Christian distinctiveness of the school.
