Singlewell Primary School cares about being Curious, Ambitious, Resilient, Equal and Safe.
After 24 successful and fulfilling years the current Head teacher is retiring therefore the Governors of Singlewell Primary School are looking to appoint an inspirational leader to continue to drive the school forwards and into our next chapter.
Judged by Ofsted in 2023 as a good school, we are an increasingly popular choice for parents within our community. We are seeking someone who has a proven track record of success and an individual who has an absolute belief in the potential of all children.
We have a committed and talented team of staff who develop caring, independent pupils with a positive attitude to learning in a safe, stimulating school. We strive to empower them to recognise and unlock their full potential, fostering an environment of respect and compassion that positively shapes their lives and the lives of others.
Governors are seeking an exceptional candidate with:
• A high level of motivation to match that of pupils, staff, parents and governors.
• The ability to inspire, lead and support a highly committed team of teaching and associate staff through an empowering and nurturing management approach.
• The energy and ambition to further develop our creative and innovative curriculum and to continue to improve the quality of education for all pupils.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong, approachable and supportive leadership and management style, building positive relationships within the school and wider community.
• A deep understanding of inclusion across the primary phase to enable all children to realise their potential in a caring and understanding community.
Pupil Voice
I would like a Headteacher who:
• …has a smile on their face every day because that makes me feel happy inside.
• …is resilient and doesn’t just give up because being a Headteacher is hard.
• …keeps everyone safe and thinks about the health and safety of everyone.
• …is fun and welcoming but responsible at the same time.
• …is ambitious to make the school even better than it is now.
• …is confident and brave, who can talk to all of the children and parents.
What we have to offer:
• Motivated and enthusiastic children who are happy, valued and proud of their school.
• A caring environment, with a family feel, and an ethos that encourages and supports all children to fulfil their potential and enjoy their learning journey at school.
• A strong team of staff with good morale who work closely together and support each other.
• Strong subject leaders who are passionate about their focus and keen to share this among all teachers.
• A modern and welcoming learning environment with expansive grounds in which a Forest School area has recently been developed.
• Active and supportive Governors who are committed to working in partnership with the Senior Leadership team.
