About The School
Please read a letter from our Chair of Governors.
Dover Girls Grammar School is an extremely successful school, judged outstanding in our last Ofsted in 2013.
With a strong reputation for academic excellence and a rounded, caring community, Dover Grammar School for Girls aims to deliver outstanding performance to help every student, from all backgrounds, fulfil their potential in whatever field they choose.
A selective grammar school for girls is a unique opportunity to support a generation of creative and dynamic thinkers. The mixed 6th form gives an opportunity to extend that experience to a wider group of young people.

It is a high achieving school, as well as a high performing SEND team, when compared to other similar schools we have a high proportion of free school meal pupils. This means pupils from a range of backgrounds are able to thrive in the school, which for us is the essence of what a Grammar school should stand for. The dedicated staff and Governing Board genuinely value and support a diverse student population who are all looking to succeed both academically and beyond.
Our three values are Building Character through mutual respect, intellectual curiosity, compassion, courage and moral purpose. Fostering Respect by respecting other's values, culture and religious believes and Achieving Success through ambitious outcomes in a wide range of academic and extra-curricular pursuits.
