St Mary Cray Primary Academy is thriving and going from strength to strength. In September 2017 the school had its first Ofsted inspection post conversion to academy status. Ofsted recognised that the school has “transformed” and found it to have Outstanding Leadership/Management and EYFS. All other areas were good. With KS2 progress results in the top 10% nationwide including the best Reading in Bromley, a strong enrichment offer across the curriculum and excellent pastoral care, children are flourishing. 25% of our children leaving Year 6 were offered grammar places.

The school is one form entry (with two classes currently in Year 5) that has circa 225 children. The school has two halls, a Computing hub, a Nurture Room, playing field, fenced sports area, large playground, trim trail, and a number of “break out” rooms allowing for smaller group teaching. The school is part of The Spring Partnership Trust, a group of 6 local schools, which allows leaders and staff to share ideas and thinking and offers numerous career development opportunities.
