 Safeguarding and Pastoral Care Lead

Days Lane Primary School is a friendly and welcoming three-form entry primary school for pupils 3 – 11 years. We have wonderful children, dedicated staff and strong partnerships with parents. We provide an exciting curriculum to develop pupils with the skills to fulfil their potential and become caring and responsible young citizens.

We are looking to appoint a temporary Safeguarding and Pastoral Care Lead to cover a maternity leave starting in March 2022. The role involves working alongside senior leaders to provide safeguarding support and pastoral care to our pupils and their families. It will also involve maintaining accurate safeguarding records, liaising with external agencies to ensure appropriate plans and strategies are in place to support pupils and their families and close liaison with parents to help improve attendance. The role will require the post holder to deliver interventions of a therapeutic nature to pupils.

The successful candidate will ideally have social care experience or good knowledge and experience of working with vulnerable pupils and their families in a school setting.

A personalised induction, support and ongoing professional development will be provided.
