Cornwallis Academy is looking to appoint a PA to the Head of School/ Office Manager to join the school. They will act as a confidential PA providing secretarial support to the Head of School and CEO, as well as Office Manager, to ensure the effective operation of the school Reception and Main Office. Working hours will be 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Thursday and 8 am to 3.30 pm on Fridays.

This is an active and varied high-profile role which requires an individual who can demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. You will have experience of diary management, providing administrative support and work to deadlines whilst demonstrating a discrete and professional manner. Considerable proficiency using IT and software packages is essential to this role and previous experience of working in an educational background is an advantage but not essential. This role will require you to be responsible for confidential administration relating to all aspects of the Head of School’s work and support the CEO where required.

PA to Head of School / Office Manager Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to multitask and to work under pressure and to deadlines

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Proactive with the ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload

• Experience in senior administrative environment

• Previous experience of minute taking skills is essential

• Experience of managing staff
