New Line Learning Academy is an exciting school, rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted . We are now expanding and looking to welcome a new and inspirational Teaching Assistant to join our Maths department on a permanent basis.  Primarily, you will be working in mainstream lessons supporting all abilities and year groups. You will need to have the ability and confidence to motivate and encourage all students, including those who are disengaged or off-task.  You will be working as part of a strong team within a specialist subject area.

As well as working with students within the classroom environment, you may also be required to carry out small group work with students across all Key Stages and curriculum areas. This will be a rewarding post within an extremely supportive working environment. Previous experience of working with children in an educational setting would be an advantage and a Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.

The position is 37 hours per week (Mon-Thur 08:00 – 16:00pm, Fri 08:00 – 15:30pm), term time only.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Good level of numeracy, including a Math’s GCSE/O-Level
  • Experience within the education sector
  • Understanding of barriers to learning, including dyslexia and speech and language difficulties
  • Keen interest in helping students to achieve
  • Confident and approachable to young people
