1:1 Teaching Support Assistants

To start as soon as possible or February 21st 2022

We are looking to appoint two new team members to join our happy, friendly and dedicated team. Eastling Primary School is a good school (Ofsted October 2021) with a strong supportive community.

Do you have the skills to work with a pupil with Special Educational Needs to support their personalised learning and social development? Are you adaptable and flexible, and ready to respond to the needs of the child?

Previous experience of working with children in a school would be beneficial. The ideal candidate needs to be positive, highly motivated and flexible. The position will involve supporting a child in either our Year 1/2 class or year 3/4 class. Some support during unstructured times such as playtime and lunchtimes will be required.

The ability to think on your feet; working both independently and as part of the team, to promote and demonstrate resilience and be a positive role model for our children is key. It is essential that the applicant has good English and Maths skills.

The roles are Term Time Only (38 weeks per year), and temporary until 31.08.2022 as the vacancies are linked to pupil funding; these posts have the opportunity to extend past that time frame.

We have two opportunities:

· Opportunity 1: Monday – Friday 08:45- 3.20

· Opportunity 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 08:45- 3:20 and Thursday 08:45 - 4:30

Information about the school

Eastling School is a charming rural village school with a roll of around 100 children aged between 4 and 11 years old. It has an excellent, dedicated staff team who support children to do their best both academically and in non-curriculum areas; fantastic resources(including two mini-buses for the numerous trips every child benefits from, large field and outdoor activity equipment). Supportive parents and Governors complete the picture.

Eastling Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and will carry out an enhanced DBS check on the successful candidate.

Our Ofsted Inspection in October 2021 rated the school GOOD in all areas with a strong supportive community.
