Do you have experience in supporting teaching and learning in a primary school? Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who can show initiative and enjoys working with children? We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work with a high achieving and motivated child who requires adult support with some medical needs.

We are looking for the right person who will:

  • Work in partnership with our Year 6 teaching team to support the child’s health needs
  • Deliver high quality learning support to enable children to make accelerated progress across the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Be organised, flexible and willing to use your initiative in order to meet children’s needs
  • Have a positive outlook, with a good sense of humour and high expectations of our children.

We are looking for candidates who can support the positive caring ethos of our school and who have the qualifications, experience and willingness to form and sustain positive relationships with children and staff, and be flexible in their approach to meet our children’s needs.

Candidates should have the minimum qualifications of 5 GCSEs with a good pass including English and Maths, and/ or NVQ Level 3 or above. Candidates must have experience of supporting children in a primary school setting and experience of supporting children with medical needs would be beneficial although not essential as full training would be given.

The hours will be 8.45 to 3.00, Monday to Friday, term time only. The post is temporary for the academic year until August 2022.
