Are you passionate, energetic, positive, inspirational and looking for a new challenge? Do you aspire to be a headteacher in the future? Do you want to work in a school where staff wellbeing is a priority?

Wilmington Primary School is a one form entry school with 210 children, which is in the heart of the village. Children, staff, parents, governors and volunteers agree that our strength is our community spirit, which creates a caring, supportive and happy environment. We have high achieving children and we aim to inspire all, staff, governors and children, to reach their full potential. The children are exceptionally well behaved. You come to Wilmington to teach!

Our amazing deputy headteacher is going onto maternity leave in May this year and therefore we are looking to welcome a new inspirational, approachable, creative and ambitious leader to our team. If you are successful you would have the opportunity to work alongside the experienced headteacher to develop your leadership skills through a structured coaching and mentoring programme. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, fun and highly supportive group of dedicated people to further develop your career. The successful applicant will be class based in Year 2, to begin, but will also have management release time to enable them to support the headteacher in her quest to provide the best education for children that we can. We are keen to appoint a deputy head who will help advance our vision and continue to inspire and motivate the whole school community. This is an opportunity for an experienced leader, who has a proven track record of making a significant and positive impact in their current posts. If you are passionate about making a positive difference to the children of our school, then you may be the right person for us.

We are lucky to have very supportive parents and confident, well-behaved and delightful children to teach. Our motto is ‘sharing and caring as we learn together’.  We aim to provide education in a caring and interesting environment, that will motivate all children to maximise their learning opportunities.

If you would like to discuss the vacancy then please email the headteacher Charlotte Scott - headteacher@wilmington-cp.kent.sch.uk

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful applicant will be required to undertake a criminal record check via the DBS.
