Wilmington Primary School is a calm, inviting, buzzing one form entry primary school. Pupils, staff, parents, governors and volunteers agree that our strength is our community spirit, which creates a caring, supportive and happy environment.

We are looking to welcome a new teacher to our friendly team. This is a maternity cover starting after Easter, initially in a Year 2 class, working alongside the current teacher until she goes onto maternity leave in May. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, fun and highly supportive group of dedicated people, to begin or further develop your career. Work/life balance is a priority for us. The children are amazing and you come to Wilmington to teach, as they are so well behaved!

We are lucky to have very supportive parents and confident, well-behaved and delightful children to teach. Our motto is ‘sharing and caring as we learn together’.  We aim to provide education in a caring and interesting environment, that will motivate all children to maximise their learning opportunities.

We can offer you a great opportunity to develop your teaching career with us and look forward to reading your application. If you would like to discuss the vacancy please email Charlotte Scott - headteacher@wilmington-cp.kent.sch.uk

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful applicant will be required to undertake a criminal record check via the DBS.

Information about the school

We are a one form entry primary school at the centre of Wilmington village. The school is very welcoming with motivated and well behaved children, an enthusiastic and friendly staff team, dedicated and supportive governors and many willing parents who give time and energy to provide financial, social and academic enrichment across the curriculum. The building has many break out spaces and a large tree lined, landscaped field. We provide a stimulating creative curriculum linking English and maths across the wide range of subject themes. The Ofsted inspection of June 2019 was graded good. A good staff work-life balance is a school priority.
