Information about the school

Lydden Primary School is a small rural village school catering for approximately 80 children between the ages of 4-11. Children learn in our four classes.

We aspire for all children to become confident, caring individuals who achieve well academically and develop a love of learning. We aim for our children to develop lifelong skills, taking responsibility for their own learning so that they can face future challenges with confidence.

We know that children learn best when they are happy. We aim to develop self-confidence and have a holistic approach to learning and the curriculum; which enables our children to live as responsible members of their communities.

We offer an attractive and stimulating rural environment including an outdoor classroom, forest school and science area with a pond.

We celebrate diversity and respect all children regardless of ability, gender, ethnicity or religion. We provide a happy, caring, supportive and positive learning atmosphere, where each child can achieve success.

We are committed to working in partnership with parents in the education and development of their child and welcome parents to take advantage of the many informal and formal occasions to enhance home/school relationships.
