Information about the school

Cecil Road is a happy, secure and inclusive school in which everyone is valued and respected. We nurture the child’s creativity and individuality whilst maintaining high aspirations for all. Our shared goal is that each child discovers the enjoyment of learning, gaining the confidence to reach their full potential. Teaching and learning is at the heart of all we do. It is important to us that our children become resilient, resourceful and reflective independent learners. To achieve this they are encouraged to solve problems, develop good communication skills and work as part of a team.

We value the role that both our parents and the wider community play in enriching our children’s learning experiences. By working in partnership with parents, children will become successful in all areas of learning and be fully prepared for the next stage of their education. It is also important to us that we build the skills, knowledge, understanding and positive attitudes necessary to help all our children become honest, responsible, respectful citizens of the future.

Our school is well resourced both in and outside of the classrooms. Our fantastic children are well-behaved and motivated to learn and we have a wonderful school team who are highly skilled and supportive. We can offer high quality and tailored opportunities for your continued professional development and have good school improvement, support and networking links with local primary and secondary schools through our association with The Northfleet Cooperative Learning Trust.
