Greenfields Community Primary School are looking to recruit an exceptional professional who is self-motivated to maintain our school to a high standard and work with the leadership team and governing body to develop our premises and grounds to ensure they have a positive impact on the children’s learning and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will be the line manager for the school’s cleaning team and will be required to offer support to the school’s leadership team.  They will take a leading role in health and safety around school, ensuring all requirements are met and correctly documented.  The role requires flexibility, tact and problem solving on a daily basis. It is essential that the applicants are professional, approachable and very effective communicators.

We are looking for someone who possesses a range of skills including extensive maintenance experience and skills in premises management (preferably in schools).

The successful candidate should have: 

• Maintenance and DIY skills and some experience of Health & Safety legislation as it applies to schools
• IT Skills, good communication and maths skills.
• A pride in their work and an understanding of the importance of maintaining a safe and attractive learning environment for children.

Previous experience of working in a school is an advantage but not essential. Appropriate professional development and training will be available to address any skill gaps in the successful candidate.

The working hours would be 7am to 10.30am & 2pm to 6pm.

Annual holiday entitlement is 25 days (increasing to 28 days after 5 years service with KCC). Holiday will need to be taken during school holidays.
