We are looking to recruit an exceptional professional who is self-motivated to maintain our school to a high standard and work with the leadership and governing body to develop our premises and take a lead in our premises development plan so that our school buildings and grounds have a positive impact on the children’s learning and well-being.

They will be the line manager for the facilities/cleaning team and will be required to offer comprehensive and strategic support to the Headteacher and leadership team.  The role requires flexibility, tact and problem solving on a daily basis. Therefore it is essential that the applicants are professional, approachable and very effective communicators.

 The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • ability to work under pressure and be able to meet deadlines
  • high standards to do a really good job at all times
  • flexibility and a ‘can do’ attitude.

Previous experience of working in a school is an advantage but not essential. Appropriate professional development and training will be available to address any skills gaps in the successful candidate.

Planned hours would be 7am to 10.30am & 2pm to 6pm.

A job share would be considered if we had two exceptional candidates who wished to do mornings/afternoons between them.

Annual holiday entitlement is 25 days (increasing to 28 days after 5 years service with KCC). Holiday will need to be taken in school holidays.
