We are seeking to appoint a highly effective, caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide support for a child with additional needs.

Successful candidates will:

  • show positive skills in supporting emotional well-being, ideally with experience of doing so.
  • have experience in working with pupils with special needs.
  • have experience in supporting children’s learning, modifying or adapting activities to enable accelerated progress
  • have high expectations for children’s behaviour
  • be used to working closely with the Class Teacher, SENCO and external professionals
  • have an understanding of school safeguarding and policies and the need for confidentiality
  • be adaptable, cheerful and willing to work as part of a team
  • be willing to undertake additional training if needed.
  • knowledge and use of communication strategies would be an advantage.
