Hours: 16.25 hrs per week (8:45am to 12:00pm), Term time + 5 inset days

Contract Type: Fixed term (linked to a pupil)

1:1 EXPERIENCED TEACHING ASSISTANT REQUIRED

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work alongside a child in Year 1 with special educational needs on a one to one basis. This child requires a Teaching Assistant who will be able to offer consistant and reliable support.

Anyone applying for this position must have a thorough knowlege and understanding of ASD and sensory needs, including direct experience of working with children ASD/sensory impairment.

 The Teaching Assistant will support the child in all areas of learning and have a positive and proactive approach to meeting the child's learning needs.

Mereworth Community Primary School is a popular village school situated between Maidstone and Tonbridge. We are a vibrant, single form entry school situated in wonderful grounds which are used extensively to enhance the delivery of the curriculum. The school building is a mixture of Victorian, 1960’s and modern rooms. We have indoor learning zones which includes a library, a music room, computer room and a Design & Technology room. We have extremely supportive parents and governors and wonderfully caring, polite and well behaved children.
