Are you an enthusiastic, flexible and caring individual looking to join our school community?

We are looking for someone who will be able to join us as a SEN Teaching Assistant which will be a temporary contract in the first instance. This position is linked to supporting children who have high needs funding.

We are a small, rural school who know our children and strive to give them the skills, confidence and experiences so that they can 'live life in all its fullness.' (John 10:10)

Our school values of care, learn and forgive are seen in all we do as teachers and in our pupils. We truly care about all of our community and look after each other. We strive to provide the best learning possible. We forgive and encourage mistakes.

This role is for 6 hours a day, 5 days a week and the working hours will be from 9am - 3.30pm; which includes 30 minutes midday meal supervision.

If you would like to discuss the opportunity or visit please contact the office@platt.kent.sch.uk.

Information about the school

We are an exceptional and beautiful one form entry, rural community Church of England school. We have a well resourced, spacious and modern building with vast grounds and excellent transport links. Our pupils are kind, motivated and excited learners with excellent behaviour. Our families support the school well and are keen to work with teachers at every opportunity. We have a fantastic PTA who raise significant funds for the school and a highly skilled and committed governing body, who are focused on staff wellbeing and high standards for all our pupils.

Our vision is based on the parable of the mustard seed.

“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet
when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches”
            (Matthew 13: 31-32).

Everyone at Platt is driven to support all children to grow and flourish through this vision into respectful and responsible young people with individual talents and passions deepened. Our children are confident and proud of their school and belonging to it. We believe education should not only equip children academically and emotionally but provide memories and shape our children to live life in all its fullness (John 10:10).

We value all our staff and our values of Care – Learn – Forgive are there for all of our community. Our wellbeing team regularly review pressure points and work with the Leadership Team to enable all to thrive and be their best.

Our school successfully completed a SIAMs inspection in July 2023 and an Ofsted inspection in October 2024, both with Good outcomes.
