37 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks)

The Headteacher and Governing Body are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, hard-working and highly motivated Nursery Nurse to join our Early Years team. The successful applicant will be working in a busy Nursery environment within the EYFS. Applications are invited from committed candidates who are prepared to make a positive contribution to the life and ethos of this inclusive school.

  • Be suitably skilled and educated to a relevant Level 3 qualification or above
  • Be committed to helping all children to achieve their potential
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Have experience of working in the Education or Childcare sectors
  • Be experienced in working with children and their families
  • Be flexible and committed to team working
  • Have enthusiasm, commitment and resilience

Information about the school

St John’s is a four-form entry primary academy located in Gravesend, serving the Parish of St John the Evangelist and the local area. It is part of the Kent Catholic Schools Partnership (KCSP), a multi-academy trust established by the Archdiocese of Southwark for Catholic education across Kent which currently comprises of 26 academies (21 primary and 5 secondary).

St John’s is an inclusive academy. Its dedicated staff, helpers and governance committee members work hard to ensure that every student is supported and challenged to be their very best. Each individual is encouraged to grow spiritually and intellectually, so that unique and positive contributions can be made to society and the world.
