Advert

Fairlight Glen ISS are looking for an energetic generalist who desires a change of pace and direction, to join our small and dedicated team to help deliver a bespoke curriculum for Key Stage 2-5.

Flexibility is key to working within our cohort, where the focus of study is centred around the core elements of Numeracy, Literacy and PSHE. All other aspects of the curriculum are constructed on an individual basis to encourage engagement in previously disaffected learners. Our small cohort have come to us for bespoke tailored curriculums which help to re-engage the young people in the education system and succeed at their own pace, being a part of a positive school experience.

Information about the school

Fairlight Glen Independent Special School has historically provided an education for predominately, but not exclusively, to pupils within the care system. We are registered to accept young people from the ages of 8 to 18 but have chosen to focus on Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 in recent years. Many of our students have missed large periods of education and rely on gap analysis to help bring them up to speed. We believe that numeracy, literacy and PSHE are key to preparing all young people for adulthood but also have the freedom to build the rest of their curriculum around their interests, thus removing as many barriers to learning as possible.
